Air Brake Hose End Kits & Assemblies Meets the requirements of DOT 106 and SAE J1402. Swivel Ends reduce residual torque in hose for longer life - No need to disconnect both ends to service the brake system. Components in contact with the air are made of corrosion resistant brass and nylon to improve air system life. For pre-coated pipe threads, add the prefix "P" to the part number. Hose. Installation Procedure

Step 1. Disassemble Kit.

Step 2. Position hose end on SHELL (A) flush with groove.

Step 3. Insert FITTING (B) into groove and position SHELL (C) opposite SHELL (A).

Step 4. With assembly in hand, squeeze forward ends of shells and push and twist RETAINING RING (D) over shells to its final position as shown.

Step 5. Insert BARB (E) into fitting. (Threaded end of barb should be greased.) Push and turn to start threads. Using a 5/16" hexagon key continue to push and turn until the barb in flush inside the fitting. NOTE: Check final assembly visually to insure that hose has not shifted position during assembly.
